About Me
Hi, my name is Reet Thakur. I created this website because I want to give back to my community in every way that I can and I believe that small acts have the power to make a difference. Along with loving math, reading, and tennis, I played chess and did taekwondo when I was younger. I have volunteered at a repacking program through the emergency food network, West Side Baby, and at the 2024 Washington State Special Spring Olympics. Additionally, I give chess lessons to children and have run a booth at the Indian American Community Services’ summer fest, where the proceeds went to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
Students are the future.
The goal of this website is to ensure that all students have the resources they need to learn and thrive. Whether this is by giving struggling students resources or by encouraging the establishment of more in-person student wellness programs.
There are many things that could affect a student in the time they are in school. Ranging from grades and deadlines to friendships and sports. Good wellbeing will encourage children to work through their problems instead of ignoring them. Developing the skillset to do this will continue to help students in the future.
I want to build a community that is ready to help students push past their limitations.
