Closing the Semester

1/15/26

January has a reputation of being the month of new beginnings. Even then, it can be an overwhelming month in school. Between heavier workloads and finals, motivation doesn’t always stay with the new year. January doesn’t have to be about changing everything at once, it can simply be a time to pause, reflect, and ease back into routines.

As finals draw closer, take a moment to step away from studying and do something you enjoy. Focusing on being kind to yourself, acknowledging the importance of effort instead of fixating on outcomes, and letting go of unrealistic expectations can help protect wellbeing as the semester ends.
